The top five companies accounted for 60% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Intel filed the most big data patents within the consumer industry in Q4 2023. The company filed 45 big data-related patents in the quarter, compared with 32 in the previous quarter. It was followed by Vivo Communication Technology with 15 big data patent filings, BlackBerry (9 filings), and LG (7 filings) in Q4 2023.
