The top five companies accounted for 50% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Intel filed the most artificial intelligence patents within the consumer industry in Q4 2023. The company filed 121 artificial intelligence-related patents in the quarter, compared with 101 in the previous quarter. It was followed by LG with 83 artificial intelligence patent filings, Haier Group (78 filings), and Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications (68 filings) in Q4 2023.
