The top five companies accounted for 58% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that LG filed the most cybersecurity patents within the consumer industry in Q4 2023. The company filed 108 cybersecurity-related patents in the quarter, compared with 113 in the previous quarter. It was followed by Intel with 97 cybersecurity patent filings, Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications (83 filings), and BlackBerry (32 filings) in Q4 2023.
